01 What is Lang Booster?
Lang Booster is a free tool for learning English vocabulary. It offers several study modes - Sets, Cards, Listen & Repeat, and Translate - so you can practice new words the way that works best for you.
02 What's the difference between Sets, Cards, Listen & Repeat, and Translate?
- Sets - browse curated word sets or build your own from any text, then work through them.
- Cards - classic flashcard-style study, flipping between a word and its translation.
- Listen & Repeat - practice listening and pronunciation with spaced repetition.
- Translate - practice translating full sentences, not just single words.
03 How do I create my own set of words?
Go to Sets > Create, paste in a text (an article, a book excerpt, anything), and the app extracts unfamiliar words automatically. Review the list and save it as your own personal set.
04 Do I need an account?
You can look around without one, but signing in with Google or Yandex lets Lang Booster remember which words you already know and keep your progress in sync across devices.
05 I found a mistake in a word, translation, or audio recording - how do I report it?
While studying, use the "Report a problem" option next to the word and pick what's wrong (translation, audio, etc.) - it goes straight to us for review.
06 Is Lang Booster free?
Yes, completely free and ad-free. If it's useful to you, you can support the project on the Donate page - it's entirely optional.
